How It Works

A calm, consistent second opinion - when something doesn’t feel right.

Step 1: Reach Out

📩

Forward a Message

Text, email or send a screenshot — we’ll review it and respond with what we see.

OR

📞

Call and Talk It Through

Concerned about a call you just received? Describe what happened — we’ll analyze it and send back a clear explanation.

You don’t have to explain yourself perfectly. Just send what you have.

Step 2. We Review Carefully

Looking for pressure tactics, patterns, and risks.

Second Clear uses a rules-based system — not AI, not a person. That means you get consistent, explainable results every time.

Step 3. You Decide

We explain what we see, clearly and without alarm.

What You Get

Clear Concern Levels — High, Moderate, or Low — based on patterns we recognize, with an explanation of what we see and why.

Follow-Up Check — When certain patterns are present, we ask if you’ve already shared information or sent money — because that may affect your options.

Real Context — We don’t just say “be careful.” We explain what stands out, what’s typical and provide official numbers if you want to verify directly.

Works for Everything — Texts, emails, phone calls, screenshots, voicemails — if it feels off, send it over.

See It In Action

What you forward: "ALERT: Your Amazon account has been suspended. Call 1-888-XXX-XXXX immediately to restore access."

What we explain: This message uses urgency pressure ("immediately") and threatens a consequence ("suspended") to push you toward a phone number that isn't Amazon's. Legitimate Amazon alerts link to your account—they don't ask you to call. We'd recommend logging into Amazon directly to check your account status.

What you forward: "I got a call from someone saying they were from Medicare and needed to verify my information. They got pushy when I said I'd call them back."

What we explain: [!] High Concern — Anyone can claim to be from Medicare, and caller ID can be faked. The only way to verify is to hang up and call Medicare directly at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). Pushiness when you try to slow down is a major red flag.

What you forward: "Your CVS prescription is ready for pickup at the Boardman location. Reply STOP to opt out."

What we explain: Low Concern — This matches the standard format for CVS pharmacy notifications. It doesn't ask for personal information, doesn't include suspicious links, and provides a clear opt-out. This appears to be a routine prescription reminder.
